AUTUMN UNPLUGGED
Usually, by the third week of October the foliage in MA is Electric (even when you resist hitting the enhance button!). This year the hues are softer, more
subtle and by no means less beautiful.
Besides fewer hours of sunlight thus diminishing the power of chlorophyll to
produce a green pigment, cold nights are required to make those trees sing.
Not complaining about the warmer than normal temperatures.
I still love October!
These shots were taken along the Battle Road in Lexington
(Minute Man National Park), a favorite bike ride of ours.
