I LOVE OCTOBER~2013

"I'm so glad that I live in a world where there are Octobers." Anne Shirley

I was planning on doing a picture a day for October but I'm just not that organized. I shot a bunch and here are some of my favorites.

October 2 was warm enough to take a swim at Rye Beach NH.

I have no idea what these amazing berries are called, love how they transform from green to dark purple. 10/3/13

Cranes Beach 10/4/13

marsh grass, so lovely

This fellow is a month early, he looks worried.

October 5....This was a "stop the car" shot!

October 16, Foggy morning hike in the Middlesex Fells

October 17 my backyard...Cosmos with bee

Bittersweet, beautiful, invasive and poisonous.

I love these Asters, great color and they bloom in mid October.

Lucky rocks, folklore says if you find a rock with a stripe around it, you will return to the place again.
I always pick one up just to make sure.

October 18 Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord MA

Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Henry Davis Thoreau are also buried here.

New England stonewall

I'm guessing this is a Linden Tree. Love the light and how it's catching the neighboring pine needles as they drop.

#nofilters!
